Abstract

SUMMARY

The work studied the characteristic of the people first recognized the disabled due to eye pathologies due de
traumas. It has been detected that the average age of the disabled while primary examination was 38,24±1,46
years old. Polypathia is characterized for this category of the disabled-multiple lesions in the eyes among which
cataract prevails (41,9%), aglia (23,3%), sub atrophy of eyeball (16,3%), optic atrophy (11,6%) etc. The average
life expectancy of the disabled was 32,57 years old for men and 35,26 years for women. Men prevailed among the
disabled (90,5%) and people of the III group of disability (66,7%). It was been detected that the disability burden
depends on the age of its appearance and on the number of the disabled.
