SUMMARY

Aim- comparative evaluation of various clinical-statistical groups of eye diseases according to the criteria of medical and social lood.

Material and methods
16303 cases of primary examination in the medical and social expert commissions were investigated. Main criteria for comparison was the age of patients at the moment of the survey. A complete the characteristics of the descriptive age statistics: minimal, maximal, average value, tendency, median, centile distribution was obtained. Parametric and non-parametric methods for the analysis of qualitative characteristics have been used in the statistical processing.

Results
Uveitis, eyeball atrophy, diabetic retinopathy, hypermtropia and anophtalmus (less spreaded cases) takes the last fve places and some lens and lens pathology, retinal disease, myopia, and glaucoma (more spread cases) are the fve most popular reasons of disability. According to the number of persons with disabilities of the I group it was determined that the most popular disease causing the disability are hypermetropia, eyeball atrophy, maculodystrophiya and myopia and the least prevalent diseases are lens and retina disorders, optic nerve atrophy, diabetic retinopathy diseases of the cornea. Anophthalmus, hypermetropia, eyeball diseases, macular degeneration, and myopia are relatively rearly become the frst cause of disability.

Conclusion
The role and the place of eye diseases among the population from the point of view of disabling are variable depending on the evaluation of criteria. For assessment of the role of eye diseases on spreading of disabilities among the population it is advantageous to use the criteria of medicosocial loading.
