Abstract

SUMMARY

In our study we described the etiology, pathogenesis and risk factors of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). We reviewed a large source of local and international publications. Despite of the technological progress, high scientifc achievements in neonatology, the growth of premature infants, the risk of retinopathy of prematurity development increases day by day. That’s why it’s very actual the joint cooperation of ophthalmologists, neonatologists, pediatrics and gynecologists in this direction.
