Abstract

SUMMARY

Aim – eelaboration of scheme of the progressive myopia complex therapy in children and teenagers taking into account an extraocular pathology.

Material and methods
Clinical investigations were based on examination of 1316 children. The patients were divided into 2 groups: main group – 679 (336 girls and 343 boys) and control group – 637 (326 girls and 311 boys). For estimation of extraocular pathology role in myopia development the various methods were used: anamnestic, sociological, defnition of index values. The results were worked up by the rese of mathematical statistics methods.

Results and discussion
So, both in the near and in the long term of observation the myopia stabilization considerably oftener was noted in the group where the children had received three component complex treatment that in control group. In the control group stabilization of process was observed after 1 year in 56 % of cases, after 3 years – in 26 % In 30 % of cases the progressing of myopia with annual gradient up to 1,5 D was established.
