SUMMARY
In this report we discuss about how to manage the patient with the acute loss of vision in one eye altough in the anamnesis she hasn’t got any trauma, stress, neurological simptoms and any prodromal simptoms of severe or chronic diseases. During fundus examination we observed ipsilateral eye’s optic atrophy, contralateral eye’s papillaedema. At the further examinations according to ignorance of any pathological changes on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain and inspite of pathological changes on examination of the optic nerve, perimetry exam data changes and visual evoked potential (VEP) test interpretations have been a clue for the diagnosis a PFK. Differentiate all the different diseases which can cause PFK and made a conclusion that in this clinical case acute loss of vision was related with NAION. Because of rarity of this case and lack of information at the literatures, we had made a decision to lighten this syndrome and had shared our treatment results.
