SUMMARY

Aim - Assess the multimorbidity degree of ocular pathologies forming violation of visual function.

Materials and methods
Statistic observation unit was a patient with infringement of visual function. All information about the pathologies of organs of vision has been copied. The primary and direct causes of invalidity are distinguished. The coucomitant ocular diseases infuencing on the severity of disability are taken into account in each group. The coding of the invalidity causes was conducted in accordance with the quadrivalent headings of the International Classifcation of Diseases of the 10th examinations. The main indications for calculation were as follows: the number of accompanying pathologies on 100 invalids; the number of cases of visual function violation in connection with the main diagnosis. Statistical processing was performed by methods of analysis of qualitative features.

Results
It was determined that among 1000 disabled persons there were 127,69 pathologies of organs of vision, among which the lens diseases (18,65), diseases of the retina (16,66), glaucoma (10.72), myopia (12.32) and the results of traumas (12,58) were predominated.

Conclusions
Multimorbidity of causes of visual functions violation necessitates a comprehensive approach to treatment and rehabilitation of disabled people with ophthalmological pathology.
