GÖZÜN DAYAQ-HƏRƏKƏT APARATININ POSTTRAVMATİK QÜSURLARININ BƏRPASINDA REKONSTRUKTİV CƏRRAHİYYƏNİN İMKANLARI

SUMMARY
Aim - to explore the possibilities of reconstructive-restorative surgery in concomitant injury to the musculoskeletal system of the eye.
Materials and methods
Since 2015 to 2018 11 patients after combined injury of the orbit and the zygoma were examined and operate in
the National Centre of Ophthalmology named after acad. Zarifa Aliyeva. It should be noted that all patients come
in 3-6 months after reconstructive surgery of orbit and zygoma. 11 patients had convergent strabismus, horizontal
diplopia and insufficiency of abduction. The reason for convergent strabismus in 7 patients was a separation of
the outer straight muscle from the attachment point. During the operation the muscle was found and hemmed
to the point of attachment. 4 patients had a gap of 2/3 external straight muscle at different levels. These patients
were subjected to the partial transposition of the vertical muscles with the restoration of the muscle’s integrity. 7 patients had been diagnosed as have enophthalmos, ptosis, paralysis of the lower rectus muscle. All patients were
subjected to the transposition of the horizontal muscle and recession and resection of the vertical muscles with
ciliary artery protection. Also in some patients there was posttraumatic ptosis, detachment of the external eyelids
spike from the walls of the orbits which were removed surgically.
Results
In all patients we obtained the positive result with the restoration of the median position of the eye. Complaints
of diplopia and restriction of mobility of the apple of eyes were not abserved. Excursion of the upper eyelid
reached 8-10mm. A high cosmetic and functional effect was obtained.
Conclusion
After the severe injuries of the orbit and zygoma with a violation of the musculoskeletal system of the eye,
reconstructive and rehabilitative surgeries increase the quality of the patient’s life and help to obtain the high
cosmetic and functional effect.
