XIZI ŞƏHƏRİNDƏ YAŞAYAN MƏKTƏBLİLƏR ARASINDA OFTALMOLOJİ XƏSTƏLİKLƏRİN RASTGƏLMƏ TEZLİYİ

Abstract

SUMMARY

Aim – to determine the frequency of common eye diseases among in schoolchildren living in Khizi city. Material and methods The research has been conducted at the Central Hospital of Khizi District. The survey was conducted among 180 schoolchildren aged 7-17 years old.

Results
The result of examination and analysis of eye diseases have been conducted in 2016 among the schoolchildren of one of the city of Azerbaijan – in Khizi city – are presented. Among the detected common diseases the more wide-spreaded were the refractive anomalies (80.8%) and diseases of conjunctiva (5.5%). Among the refractive errors are more wide-spread myopia (23.29%) and mixed astigmatism (20.55%), had also been identifed refractive amblyopia, and myopic chorioretinal dystrophy.

Conclusion
The early diagnosis among schoolchildren is very important in the dynamics of observation, the early treatment of amblyopia and other eye diseases.
