SUMMARY

Coats' disease is retinopathy which occurs mainly in boys, manifests itself in the form of monolateral weak
vision, characterized by vascular abnormalities and exudation. The disease in 75% of cases occurs in boys, in 25%
- in girls.
In the presented clinical case on the basis of research methods such as fundus fluorescence angiography (FAG)
and optical coherence tomography (OCT), the diagnosis was made: OU - Coats disease. The patient underwent
surgery: OU - laser coagulation. After 6 months with repeated examination, a complete stabilization of the process
was achieved on the left eye, and partial on the right.
Thus, taking into account that Coats disease is monolateral, in rare cases it can be bilateral, asymmetric in
nature. In this case exposed to less eye damage, in order to prevent possible complications in a timely manner, it
should be constantly monitored.
