Abstract

SUMMARY

This paper presents a clinical case of patient C., born in 1957 who had appealed to the National Centre of Ophthalmology named after Academician Z. Aliyeva complaining of decreased visual acuity in both eyes. On examination there was determined a bilateral cataract, which covered the posterior capsule. To a patient with posterior polar cataract there was performed the phacoemulsifcation with IOL implantation. The operation was conducted without complications. On the frst day after surgery the visual acuity was 0.6 and after 1 month the acuity increased to 1.0.
