SUMMARY

Posner-Schlossmann syndrome is characterized with a unilateral paroxysmal increase in intraocular pressure
and the presence of cyclical symptoms.
In the presented clinical case, a 60-year-old woman experienced a sharp increase in intraocular pressure in
the right eye and the presence of cyclic symptoms. The clinical picture of the acute form of the disease is described.
After traditional ophthalmological studies, the patient was diagnosed with Posner-Schlossmann syndrome.
An analysis of the results showed that with the correct diagnosis and timely treatment, it is possible to
normalize the high intraocular pressure caused by Posner-Schlossmann syndrome, reduce precipitations, thereby
preserving vision and preventing other complications.
