SUMMARY
Aim – the choice of the corresponding surgical methods of treatment depending on the refraction violations and age of the patient.
Matherials and methods
In the Excimer Laser and Surgery and transplantation of cornea departments of the National Centre of Ophthalmology named after acad. Zarifa Aliyeva during 2015 663 refractive surgeries were performed. Out of them excimer-laser operations were 552, intraocular 111. The age of patients was within 18-64 years of old. From 552 excimer laser surgeries 127 were photorefractive keratectomy, 264- Femto Lasik and 161-Lasik. Out of 111 intraocular surgeries 41 was lensectomy with diffractive IOL implantation, 47 Iris claw Artisan, 23- ICL STAAR implantation.
Results
The effciacy of various methods of refractive surgery in the different degrees of ametropia till the presbyopia and in presbyopic age was studied. Analysis of visual results during dynamic observation indicated their increase and stabilization after all types of refractive surgeries.
Conclusion
In patients aged 45-50, if the optical media is transparent, if the corneal thickness and curvature permits, the most effective method is the femtosecond excimer-laser correction. In patients older than 38 years with hyperopia the most effective method is lensectomy with diffractive implantation of IOL. In patients from 18 to 35 years with high ametropia the most effective method is implantation of ICL STAAR central fow.
