SUMMARY

Aim. To analyse the results of the “Hümmelsheim” plastic surgery in the paralysis or paresis of the external
rectus muscle.
6 patients, who had been admitted to the hospital, were subjected to this surgery. After the surgery the abnormal
head position was corrected, the angle of squint was decreased the eye movement toward the paralised muscleswas
partially restored. So, the “Hümmelsheim” surgeries application in the paralysis or paresis of the external rectus
muscle is the effective and resultant method of treatment.
