SUMMARY
Aim – to study of dynamics of interaction between retina and posterior hyaloid membane using the spectral optical coherence tomography its detachment and application of obtained data for development of treatment tactics.
Material and methods
The data obtained were based on observation of 144 patients during 12 months and were used as a material for this study. The spectral optical coherence tomography method was applied for examination of patients along with the standard methods.
Results
During the observation period, it was defned that the interaction between the posterior hyaloid membrane with retina can occurred in the different options by time. Depending on this, all the observed patients were divided into 4 groups.
Conclusion
Age collapse of the vitreous is a long process that develops over several months or years. For development of treatment tactics a single study is not enough and monitoring of patients over time for detection of direction of pathological changes is needed. The planned surgical intervention is advisable in fbrosis of internal limiting membrane and vitreomacular traction syndrome, progressive lamellar retinal hole with internal limiting membrane. An expectant tactic is appropriate for non lamellar retinal hole without fbrosis of internal limiting membrane, detachment of posterior hyaloid membrane with foveal adhesion, since there can be spontaneous detachment of posterior hyaloid membrane without affecting the retina to restore vision to the initial fgures.
